Time for another dram!
A fruity Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A bit about
Non-chill filtered, with a natural colour and 46% ABV, Glasgow 1770 The Original was initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in virgin American oak casks.
So far, it has won Silver in 2019 in the Single Malt - No Age Statement Category at the Scottish Whisky Awards and Silver in 2019 in the Scotch Single Malt - Lowland Category at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Time to try it!
Nose: Fruity (fresh and dried fruit - orange, plums, dried cherries), grassy, and pleasantly sweet.
Palate: Zesty - lime and orange zest, peppery, with oak, honey, almond and grassy undertones.
Finish: Medium, oaky with a bit of spice and bitter orange peel

Pros and Cons
The Glasgow 1770 The Original is no age statement, and it certainly feels like a young whisky (for me, at least), but it has enough flavour and it is gentle enough on the palate to be a decent whisky to sip on.
It's nice with the addition of an ice cube or two and it has been succesful in most cocktails I've tried so far with it.

In Conclusion
Priced at around £46 on most UK websites, it's pretty much what it says on the bottle - fresh and fruity, so if that's what you're looking for in a whisky, by all means, see for yourself.

As always, please drink responsibly.
