Peach Whisky Smash - Cocktail Recipe

A deliciously refreshing fruity summer cocktail made with ripe peach, your favourite whisky, a hint of lemon and a bit of mint.

You will need:

• 1 ripe peach

• 20ml lemon juice

• 50 ml whisky

• 25ml sugar syrup

• ice

• 1 mint sprig and a lemon slice for garnish

How to:

1. Slice the peach in half, then slice one half into thin slices

2. Peel the skin from the other half, cut the peach into cubes/chinks and put it into the shaker

3. Muddle the peach, then add the lemon juice, whisky, sugar syrup and ice

4. Shake well and either strain into a rocks glass over one block/ball of ice or simply dirty pour straight into the glass

5. Garnish with the mint, lemon slice and a few peach slices

6. Enjoy!

• If the peach isn't ripe or simply lacking flavour, you can add 5-10 ml of peach syrup

• If the same troublesome peach is drier than expected, or if you want your cocktail

  somewhat bubbly, you can also top it up with a few dashes of soda water

• You can use single malts, single grain, blended whiskies or even bourbon for this cocktail.
