You will need:
- 50 ml whisky
- 30 ml gomme/sugar syrup
- 25 ml lime/lemon juice
- 10ml cherry syrup
- 1 egg white
- ice
- a handful of fresh cherries or sour cherries (4-5 pitted cherries for shaking and a few whole cherries for garnishing)
- optional: a few slices of lime, for garnishing
How to:
- Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes
- Add everything except the whole cherries to the cocktail shaker, add ice and shake well
- Strain the ice, return everything to the cocktail shaker and shake again, this time without the ice
- Strain into the glass
- Garnish with the cherries and lime slices
- Enjoy!

- To make the sugar syrup, simply use 2 parts sugar to 1 part hot water, stir until the sugar dissolves, then leave it to cool down completely. After that, please store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- I prefer lime juice with the cherry version of a whisky sour, but if lemon is all you have in the house, it will do the job just as well
- Use whatever whisky you desire or have available, but preferably something with a lot of flavour
- If you're not a fan of egg white, you can simply omit it.
