Time for another dram!
An Auchroisch 13, bottled by One Cask at a Time

A bit about
Matured in a Madeira cask, the Auchroisk 13 is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky with 54.8% ABV, a beautiful rose gold natural colour, and it is non-chill-filtered.
Auchroisk is a Speyside Distillery owned by Diageo and founded in 1974. It is a main malt supplier for the J&B Blend.
It is part of the Cronograph Collection, along with the Ben Nevis 2012 and the Glentauchers 2009. 308 bottles were produced
As with all bottles released by One Cask at a Time, this one also has an NFC tag to scan, on the neck of the bottle, which confirms the authenticity and provenance of the whisky. All their releases are single cask, therefore limited edition.

Time to try it
Nose: Super fruity - mainly plums and apricots, with some hints of orange and lime
Palate: On the sweet side, with a lot of fresh fruit and marzipan, quite nutty
Finish: Medium, nutty, with some bitter almond towards the end

In Conclusion
I love the colour of this whisky. If anything, it's more similar to a rose wine than whisky.
It's quite rich on the palate, with some lovely layers of fruitiness, but nothing overpowering. For me, this one is a lovely sipping whisky, as it is, neat.
If you want to give this whisky a try, you can find it on their website, priced at £ 89
Thank you, One Cask at a Time, for this delicious sample.

As always, please drink responsibly.
