Time for another dram!
A 30-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled by One Cask at a Time.

A bit about
The Ledaig 30 is Part of One Cask at a Time's Grandfather Collection, along with the Highland Park 1996 and the Aultmore 1990.
Cask no 252, distilled 05/03/93. 74 bottles were produced. It has 42.3% ABV, a very pale straw/gold natural colour, and it is non-chill-filtered.

Time to try it!
Nose: Very delicate notes, fresh, with strawberry fizz, with a hint of sea salt
Palate: Very gentle and pleasant sweetness, with a bit of oak and some lingering grassy notes
Finish: Medium, grassy and oaky.

Pros and Cons
After you leave it for a few minutes to breathe, you get more lovely caramel and slight biscuity notes on the nose. I've only tried this one neat, as I don't think it needs anything else.
Even though it is a Ledaig, I felt no trace of peat in this whisky.

In Conclusion
It is certainly a fascinating whisky to try, and I am looking forward to seeing what other whiskies will be released by the same company.
I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of One Cask at a Time's Collections in September, where I obtained the sample. If you're tempted to purchase a full-sized bottle, you can find it on One Cask at a Time's website, priced at £599.

As always, please drink responsibly.
