Time for another dram!
A 33-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled by One Cask at a Time

A bit about
Part of the Grandfather collection, along with the Highland Park 1996 and the Ledaig 1993, the Aultmore 33 was distilled on 27/09/90. 146 bottles were produced. It has 43.5 % ABV and a natural colour.
It won Silver at the IWSC and Gold at the Global Scotch Whisky Masters (both 2025).
One Cask at a Time offers more detailed information about the cask and tasting notes via a 'bottle passport'. Once you download the app, you can scan your bottle, verify its authenticity and see more about the history of the cask.

Time to try it!
Nose: Fresh apple slice, toffee and coffee
Palate: Creamy, with more coffee (cappuccino), caramel, banana,
Finish: Vanilla ice cream in the mild finish, which lingers beautifully balanced

Pros and Cons
I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of One Cask at a Time's Collections in September, where I obtained the above sample, after which I also tried it during a masterclass at the World Whisky Experience organised by Club Oenologique.
Priced at £675 on the One Cask at a Time website, it's certainly not accessible for any kind of budget, but it is a superbly delicious dram to enjoy. Delicate flavours, but very well balanced with a slight creamy/oily mouthfeel and a beautiful finish. So far, it is probably my favourite release from them.

As always, please drink responsibly.
