Jura 15 - One Cask at a Time - Whisky Review

Time for another dram!

A Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled by One Cask at a Time.

A bit about

The Jura 2010 is part of One Cask at a Time's Pendulum Collection, along with the Auchentoshan 1998, and it was released in April 2026.

As with their other releases, this one also has an NFC tag to scan, on the neck of the bottle, which confirms the authenticity and provenance of the whisky.

There are 280 bottles available; it is non-chill-filtered and has a natural colour.

Matured in an Oloroso Sherry Cask, the Jura 15 has 54.4% ABV.

In September 2025, at the launch party of One Cask at a Time, the guests were asked to partake in a blind tasting and vote for one of the two whiskies tried. This was the winner.

I was lucky enough to be there, but couldn't honestly tell you whether this is the one I opted for. Either way, I'm happy this is the one which got chosen by the majority.

Time to try it!

Nose: Chocolate-covered raisins and prunes, demerara sugar, cherries in chocolate and some light salinity/coastal notes

Palate: Full-bodied, very pleasant mouthfeel, with dark forest fruit, treacle tart with a bit of oak spice

Finish: Long, warm, with lingering sweetness, fruitiness and some nutty notes.

In Conclusion

For me, this one was a super delicious dram to try (Thank you, One Cask at a Time, for the sample). It's complex, has a great amount of depth to all layers, and, overall, just a very tasty dram to enjoy. The maturation in that specific Oloroso Cask made a wonderful impact on the whisky. I might dare call this one a dessert whisky, even though it's not overly sweet.

If you're tempted by it, you can find it on their website (priced at £150).
