Time for another dram!
A Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky aged for 16 years in an ex- Laphroaig cask.

A bit about
Part of the Chronograph Series from One Cask at a Time, the Ardmore 2009 has 56.9% ABV; it is non-chill-filtered and has a natural light amber colour
Ardmore Distillery, located in Aberdeenshire, has been around since 1898 and was built to be the main supplier for the Teacher's Highland Cream Blend.
As with all the bottles released so far by One Cask at a Time, this one also has an NFC tag on the neck of the bottle, which you can scan to confirm the authenticity and provenance of the whisky. All their releases are single cask, therefore limited edition.

Time to try it!
Nose: Maritime notes intertwined with a delicate smoke and a gentle honey sweetness
Palate: Oily mouthfeel, a lot of peat coming through, quite strong on the palate, with some spice
Finish: Long, with lingering medicinal peat, oak and some almond bitterness
In Conclusion
It's been great both neat and with a drop or two of water.
Priced at £135 on the One Cask at the Time website, this one is a beautifully peated dram with many layers of flavour to offer. If you like peated whisky with a hint of salinity, delicate sweetness and a touch of spice, then you'll most likely love this one.

As always, please drink responsibly.
