Time for another dram!

A Lowland Single Malt Scotch whisky from Lindores Abbey Distillery, bottled by Whisky52

A bit about

Matured in a combination of rejuvenated Red Wine, STR wine barriques, and Palo Cortado casks, this whisky, produced by Lindores Abbey Distillery, was bottled for Whisky52 at 47% ABV and has a natural colour.

Lindores Abbey is a Lowland whisky distillery located in Newburgh, Scotland. They've been around since 2017, with their first whisky being released in July 2021.

Time to try it!

Nose: Sweet, with dried fruit and toffee

Palate: Pleasant mouthfeel, sweet and fruity with ripe dark forest fruit - mainly blackberries and blueberries.

Finish: Medium, with some oak and a bit of spice

Pros and Cons

I've been lucky enough to try some of Lindores Abbey's whiskies, including the recently launched (June 2026) Nectare, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Overall, they all seemed to be quite mellow on the palate, with a lot of fruitiness, caramel and light spice, and the one from Whisky52 is no exception.

A tasty dram, goes down a treat if served neat. I've not yet tried any cocktails with this one, but it's been too enjoyable to even think about experimenting with it.
