Time for a few drams!
New Forms is the New Series of single-cask whiskies from the London Distillery Company.

The New Forms release comprises three Single Malt, single-cask whiskies released at cask strength.

All three whiskies were initially matured in a refill hogshead, then finished for either 8 or 12 months in additional casks.
The London Distillery Company was kind enough to send me their Tasting Pack, which is available for purchase on their website (£22).
Each bottle is individually priced at £75 or at £200 for the trio.

New Forms Ex-Bourbon Cask
The Ex-Bourbon Cask was finished for `12 months in a 1st-fill ex-bourbon cask. It has 60.7% ABV, and 222 bottles were released.
What to expect?
It's sweet, velvety on the palate, with quite a bit of fruit (apples, pears and bananas), slightly spicy on the finish, with some lingering oak.

New Forms Fino Sherry Cask
The Fino Sherry Cask was finished for 8 months in a 1st-fill Fino Sherry Hogshead. It has 61.4% ABV. 347 bottles were released.
What to expect?
Lemony, with some coconut flakes, coffee and pepperyness; less velvety mouthfeel than the ex-bourbon cask, with the ABV feeling a bit sharp.

New Forms Moscatel Sherry Cask
The Moscatel Sherry Cask was finished for 8 months in a 1st-fill Moscatel Sherry hogshead. It has 61.6% ABV. 345 bottles were released.
What to expect?
A lot of caramel, orange and ripe orchard fruit on both nose and palate. Some walnut and ginger in the finish. My favourite out of the 3. As with the previous 2, you can't really feel the high ABV, and it is quite velvety on the palate.

As always, please drink responsibly.
