A bit about

Part of Release No. 8, along with Elephant & Castle, Kew Gardens and South Kensington (Cask 531/48, with 340 bottles released), this Single Cask release was bottled at 56.9% ABV. Marble Arch is non-chill-filtered and has a natural colour.

Time to try it!

Nose: Sweet, with Christmas cake (raisins, alcohol-infused cakes and dried fruit)

Palate: The sweetness and fruitiness continue on the palate, combined with cinnamon and toffee and the Tawny Port influence makes its presence known. The ABV is slightly noticeable, but manageable.

Finish: Medium, with subtle spice and a lingering sweetness reminding me of cherries in alcohol.

Pros and Cons

So far, I've loved pretty much everything I've tried from Bimber, so my honest advice is to join the ballot next time a new whisky gets released from 'The Spirit on the Underground' series.

I am a big fan of Tawny Port Casks, and this one certainly does not disappoint.

Massive thank you to Bimber Distillery for the sample provided.
