Time for another dram!
A Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky made for Lidl GB.

A bit about
Unfortunately, I don't have much information about the Ben Bracken Speyside Single Malt: it has been aged for 3 years, and it has 40% ABV.
It won gold in 2020 at both the International Spirits Challenge and The Scotch Whisky Masters - The Spirits Business.
Not sure if all of them are produced by the same distillery; the bottle I have was made by Clydeside Scotch Whisky Co, Glasgow.

Time to try it
Nose: Very very delicate, with a bit of vanilla custard, banana bread and raisins.
Palate: A tiny bit harsh on the palate, with raisins, hints of pepperyness, spice and cinnamon
Finish: Medium, with the smallest bit of oak, slightly dry and spicier towards the very end

Pros and Cons
Overall, it's pretty easy going, just not fantastically remarkable, but then again, I can't be too mean considering its price (somewhere around £18).
Compared to the Ben Bracken Highland Single Malt, this one is less citrusy, a bit sweeter and with a longer finish.
Will I be testing a variety of cocktails throughout the summer using this whisky? Most definitely!
Will I suddenly replace my go-to whisky for sipping? Probably not.

In Conclusion
I would say give it a try if you have a chance, even if just out of curiosity, just don't expect to be blown away by what it has to offer.
You can find the Ben Bracken Speyside Single Malt in any (or most) Lidl in the UK, but if you want to try other Speyside Single Malts, you can find a wide variety here.

As always, please drink responsibly.
