Time for another dram!
A German Single Malt Whisky

A bit about
Matured for 4 years in ex-wine barrels from Alde Gott, the Weirblick Schwarzwald (Black Forest Whisky) has 48.2% ABV and a natural amber colour. 1577 bottles were produced.

Time to try it!
Nose: Dark forest fruit, malted barley and chestnut wood
Palate: More malt and dark fruits with honey and hints of dark chocolate, as well as a bit of spice towards the end
Finish: Medium-long, with some spiciness and lingering dryness

Pros and Cons
It has a very interesting combination of aromas, with a slightly oily mouthfeel to begin, ending slightly dry. The influence of the wine barrel is more pronounced towards the end.
An easy-drinker, whether neat or with a few drops of cold water.
Priced around £ 80 on some EU websites, it's certainly an interesting dram to sample.

As always, please drink responsibly.
