Time for another dram!
A blended world whisky, product of Eigashima Shuzo, Japan

A bit about
Unfortunately, I have very little information about this whisky.
All I know is that Akashi White Oak Special Blend has 40% ABV, a reddish-amber colour, and it is a blend of malt and grain British whiskies.

Time to try it
Nose: Fruity, with vanilla, creme caramel,
Palate: Grain, with cinnamon spice, sultanas and chocolate towards the end
Finish: Sweet with quite a bit of spice, lingering oak and a touch of sherry dryness

Pros and Cons
I bought this 200ml bottle for the equivalent of something around £10, from a shop in Kyoto, during my most recent visit.
I much prefer this one over ice, in a highball, or just with a few drops of ice-cold water, rather than neat.
Overall, I can't say I'm particularly impressed, but considering the price, I also cannot complain too much.

In Conclusion
If you happen to stumble upon this blended whisky, by all means give it a go (it's pretty decent in a highball, although a bit light), just don't expect to find your new favourite dram by doing so.
If you want to give any other Akashi whisky a try, you can find some here.

As always, please drink responsibly.
