Vampire's Fears Sour Cherry Liqueur - Review

Time for another drink!
A delicious Romanian Sour Cherry Liqueur (Visinata) from Distileriile Bran.
With only 30% ABV, this one makes for a delightful after-dinner digestif, a refreshing Vișinată Spritz (vișinată/sour cherry liqueur, prosecco and a splash of soda water), and it's ideal for a Cherry Manhattan 🍸🍒
Visinata is traditionally made in Romania from sour cherries, sugar and alcohol. Most of the time it's homemade, but in recent years some quality products have hit the shelves, and the taste is almost as good as the homemade version.

Time to try it!
The Vampire's Fears Sour Cherry Liqueur is sweet with a lot of cherry on both nose and palate - honestly just as expected if you're familiar with this type of product.
It has a pleasant, quite velvety mouthfeel which continues with a beautiful lingering finish.
It's great as it is - a little aperitif or digestif, and it also works wonders in cocktails.
The only downside I can see with this one is that it doesn't have the usual sour cherries at the bottom of the bottle as you would normally have with the homemade version - and, if you haven't had the chance to try any of them before, let me tell you - they are a very fun little treat.
