Time for another drink!
A delicious Romanian apricot Brandy/ Pălincă de caise from Distileriile Bran.

A bit about
What is Pălincă?
Romanian Pălincă is a fruit brandy or fruit spirit made by mashing and fermenting certain types of fruit, then double (or in some regions triple) distilling the resulting liquid.
It is traditionally made from plums, pears, apples, apricots or quince.
Distillation happens in large copper stills, with the average alcohol content being between 40-50%. The triple-distilled version, most common in the North of Romania, especially Maramures county, where it's known as horincă, can reach 70-86% ABV.
No sugar or flavourings are added at any point in the making of this spirit.
It is served as an aperitif or digestif, either chilled or at room temperature, most of the time paired with fatty foods, especially during winter.

Time to try it!
Nose: Fresh apricot jam with a delicious sweetness and some light floral notes
Palate: Very delicately sweet, with ripe apricots and a velvety mouthfeel
Finish: Long, lingering with more apricot jam and some nuttiness

In Conclusion
This interesting-looking 250ml bottle has 40% ABV. It makes for a lovely aperitif, especially during spring and summer.
Super pleasant on the palate. flavorful without being overpowering, it's as close as you can get to the traditional spirit at this ABV.
If you want to give the 700 ml version a try (still in a fancy bottle but not heart-shaped), you can find it by clicking/tapping here.

As always, please drink responsibly.
