Time for another dram!
A Romanian Single Malt Whisky matured in ex-bourbon first-fill casks and finished in a Tawny Port Cask

A bit about
Distilled, matured and bottled in Romania, the Tawny Port Finish is part of Carpathian Single Malt's Spanish and Portuguese Wine Cask Collection.
Non-chill-filtered, with a natural colour (copper-ish) and 46% ABV, it was first matured in ex-Kentucky bourbon first-fill casks and finished in a 500 litre Tawny Port Cask.

Time to try it!
Nose: On the sweet side, with candy, some oak, and slight pepperiness
Palate: The sweetness continues on the palate, with a bit of cinnamon spice
Finish: Most of the port cask influence makes itself known in the finish, with a slight dryness layered with more intense oak and dried fruit sweetness

Pros and Cons
Very similar to the Sauternes Cask Finish in terms of sweetness, but slightly better-rounded, it's a nice dram to sample, whether neat or with a drop of water. It is a nice sipping whisky, just don't expect it to completely change your perspective on whisky or Tawny Port Cask finishes. For me, it could have benefited from being in the Tawny Port Cask for slightly longer.

In Conclusion
If you have a chance, I'd certainly say give it a try, just bear in mind that it is quite a young whisky with quite delicate notes overall (and no trace of peat).

As always, please drink responsibly.
