Time for another dram!
A fruity Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A bit about
Glengoyne is a distillery with quite a bit of history, having been around since 1883.
They are known for their slow distillation, air-dried, unpeated malt and overall sweet and fruity flavour profile.
The Glengoyne 15 has 43% ABV, a light amber colour, and was matured for 15 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks (20%), first-fill sherry casks (25%) and refill casks (55%).
It was launched in 2013 for the travel retail market, then relaunched in 2022 and added to the permanent Glengoyne Range.
So far, it has won the Chairman's Trophy in 2017 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, Gold in 2024 at both the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Spirits Challenge and Bronze in 2025 at the World Whisky Awards.

Time to try it
Nose: Strong with dried fruit sweetness mixed with lemon and lime zest
Palate: Very pleasant on the palate, with an enjoyable citrusiness (mainly lemon), cinnamon and herbal/grassy notes
Finish: Medium, lingering citrus and oak, quite dry

Pros and Cons
Super easy to sip, but for me, lacking a few more layers of either depth or sweetness, which would add this one to my list of go-to whisky for sipping.
As with the Glengoyne 12, I prefer this one neat and haven't tried any cocktails with it yet.

In Conclusion
Priced at around on most UK websites at around £70-£80, I think it's a very decent dram to sample, quite mellow, and with delicate layers of fruitiness, citrus zest and oak.
