Time for another dram!
A slightly peated Blended Scotch Whisky

A bit about
Captain's Cask, Alchemy Series is a blend of grain whiskies and malt whiskies finished in rum casks. Product of Gordon Graham and Co., this whisky is non-chill filtered, no-age-statement, and has 46.3% ABV.

Time to try it
Nose: Tropical fruit, coconut, gently sweet, you can feel the grain whisky component
Palate: More tropical fruit, sweet with a hint of sultanas and smoke (charred oak)
Finish: Medium, with caramel and pepperiness

Pros and Cons
For me, the Black Bottle Captain's Cask is a pretty decent dram to enjoy. It has a nice balance of tropical fruitiness and delicate smoke.
It's nice for sipping, good over ice, and great in cocktails, as it is quite rich, it has a decent amount of sweetness and a small amount of smokiness, which adds terrifically to some cocktails such as Mamie Taylor (whisky, lime juice and ginger beer/ale).

In Conclusion
Priced at around £27 on most UK websites, I think this one is a decent whisky to have around the house, especially considering the price.
