Time for another drink!
A sweet and smooth sake from Sawanotsuru Brewery.

A bit about
Launched in 2017, Shushu Light is a Junmai Sake with 8.5 % ABV.
A product of Sawanotsuru, Shushu Light is colourless/clear, has 1.1 acidity, SMV -23, and amino acid 1.2.
The brand recommends that the serving temperature of this sake be between 10 and 15 degrees.

Time to try it! For me, the Shushu Light is quite fragrant and sweet on the nose, with a gentle fruitiness.
It's quite sweet when it comes to taste, and becomes smoother and easier to drink when chilled, rather than at room temperature.
The finish is quite pleasant and short.

Chilled, it makes for a decently refreshing drink, although it is a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste for it to become a staple drink in my house.
So far, I've only tried the Shushu Light on its own, but I can see it pairing well with a wide range of dishes.
I bought this 180 ml bottle for around 400 yen after I finished visiting the Sawanotsuru Brewery Museum (travel post coming soon). I haven't seen it yet on any UK websites, so if you do, please let me know in the comments below.
If you want to try a few other sakes, you can give these a try.

As always, please drink responsibly.
