Time for another drink!
A light and slightly sweet sake from Hakutsuru Brewery

A bit about
Located in Nada, in the Hyogo Prefecture, Hakutsuru Brewery was founded in 1743.
.
The Daiginjo Clear has 13% ABV, and, as the name indicates, is a clear sake. It has 50% rice polishing ratio, 1.1 acidity and -1 on the sake meter value, meaning it's more towards the sweet side rather than dry.
*Hakutsuru (白鶴)means white crane
*Daiginjo (大吟醸) sakes have a 50% polishing ratio and are usually premium sakes.

Time to try it!
With a little bit of fresh green apple, ripe pear and peach slice on the nose, The Daiginjo Clear has a delightful aroma (somewhat floral and fruity).
It has a very light taste, slightly sweet, and overall very gentle on the palate. If it wasn't written on the bottle, I would have assumed it has way less ABV.
For me, this one was best served chilled, but it's good served at room temperature as well.
I can see this one pairing very well with pretty much any type of food.
I finished this bottle way quicker than expected; it is fantastically easy to drink.

Overall, I think this one is a delightful sake; the only downside I can see is the size of the bottle.
I bought the small aluminium bottle (180 ml) for around 400 Yen after I finished visiting the Hakutsuru Brewery Museum, but I have seen it on some UK websites at around £5-6.
If you want to try a few other sakes, you can give these a try.

As always, please drink responsibly.
