Before I start this review, I do have a small disclaimer as Sakuraco has been kind enough to send me a free box to review. The review is mine, honest and has not been paid for.
I'm a massive fan of Japan and Japanese food (as you can probably see if you have a look at the travel part of this website), trust me, they did not have to convince me of anything.
This month's theme is Journey to Okinawa
Along with the items, the box also contains a 24-page guide where you can find a few more details about the products, including allergens, as well as information about the local attractions, festivals and well-known places.
The items chosen from Japan’s southern islands were: Sanpin (Jasmine) Tea, Mango Jelly and Candy, Almond Caramel Cookies, Honey Plum, Baked Chocolate, Kakinotane and Nori ten, Cinnamon Peanuts, Kokuto Almond Mix and a handcrafted ceramic item from Bloom’s Handpicked Ceramics from Gifu.

I'm sure I've missed a few; there were so many amazing sweets and snacks I lost track.
The Cinnamon Peanuts were fantastic and definitely took me by surprise, the Okinawa Salt Baked Chocolate was delicious, and the Almond Caramel Cookies were addictive.
Overall, I was more than pleasantly surprised, but I admit I might be a bit biased, considering I probably ate my weight in snacks while I was in Japan and loved every second of it.
The Ceramic is lovely, the tea reminded me of being in Japan, and overall, I appreciated the level of detail they put into making the box.
I miss Japan on a daily basis. I'm absolutely in love with the country, its peaceful temples, Fuji-san and most certainly with the food. I can't go there as often as I would like, so having a box sent to my home every month, reminding me of things which I absolutely adore, is the next best thing.

You have the option to pay monthly for your subscription, or if you want a slightly discounted price, you can pay for 3 months, 6 months or yearly at a time.
