A highly flavourful English Rye Whisky

A bit about
Previously known as the Oxford Artisan Distillery, Fielden Whisky of England is now based in Yorkshire. The company prides itself on using heritage grains farmed sustainably.
They use both pot stills and column stills.
Fielden Rye Whisky is NAS, has 48% ABV and a beautiful, deep, golden-brown colour.
It has won gold in 2025 at the World Whisky Awards for best No-Age-Statement Rye

Time to try it!
Nose: Fruity, flowery, with some spice and sweetness
Palate: Quite rich, full-bodied with caramel, grain, pastry, not too sweet
Finish: Medium with more grain and quite peppery towards the end

Pros and cons
As much as this is enjoyable neat or on the rocks, I can see this one way better used and even working wonders in an old-fashioned cocktail or a highball.
If you're looking for a peated whisky, Fielden Rye is definitely not the one for you, as no trace of smoke can be found.
It is quite rich, with a medium body, but it is noticeable that it is a young whisky (especially on the nose).

In Conclusion
Priced at around £60 on most UK websites, I think it's an interesting dram to enjoy, with a delicious aroma and definitely worth trying if you've not sampled rye whiskies before.
