Time for another dram!
A peated Single Malt Japanese Whisky.
A bit about
The 2022 release of Ichiro's Malt Peated Single Malt Whisky has a light gold natural colour, it is non-chill-filtered and has 53,5% ABV.
After recently trying the Chichibu Distillery II, I was lucky enough to be given a sample by a friend who is also passionate about Japanese Whisky (Thank you again!)

Time to try it
Nose: Mainly peat, with some floral aspects (more towards wildflowers, delicate notes)
Palate: Peat and citrus (lemon and lime) are combined with a delicate sweetness and quite a good amount of floral notes
Finish: Long finish with more peat and citrus (lime zest mainly), nicely balanced.

Pros and Cons
Medium-bodied, it's lovely neat, or with a tiny drop of cold water (which does mellow it down slightly in terms of how you feel the ABV on the palate). Overall, it's a nice dram to enjoy, slightly more floral than I would have expected, but it has the usual richness and good balance of flavours that you expect from most of Ichiro's Malt releases.
I can't say anything stood out particularly for me ( don't get me wrong, if you get a chance to sample it, then by all means please do), so it's not in my top-10 whiskies, but again, enjoyable nonetheless.
A limited edition (11000 bottles released), Chichibu the Peated 2022 is priced at around £200 on most UK websites.
