Tokyo Treat is a monthly Subscription Box of Japanese snacks. Each box has a different theme, with this month's theme being Summer Matsuri Snackfest (summer festival).
After trying Sakuraco, the artisanal snacks & sweets version of this subscription box, I had to try the one with the most popular snacks Japan has to offer.

Before I start this review, I have a small disclaimer to make, as Tokyo Treat has been kind enough to send me a free box to review. The review is mine, honest and has not been paid for. I'm a huge fan of Japanese food and snacks in general, so I might be a bit biased by default.
In your monthly box, you can expect to find a mixture of sweets, cookies, gummies, noodles, salty treats, mochi, seasonal drinks, Japanese Kitkats and other similar treats.
Each box also contains a 20-page booklet that provides information about the products, including allergens.
Summer Matsuri Snackfest
This month's box contained Soy Sauce Corn Puffs, chocolate orange KitKats, Strawberry Cotton Candy, Kakigoori Jelly, Eggplant Miso Soup, Honey Fried Rice Crackers, Mini Sugar Doughnuts, Ramune Gummies, Edamame Bites and a few others.
As with Sakuraco, you have the option of a monthly subscription, or a 3, 6 or 12-month plan, starting with 37.5$/month.
All subscriptions auto-renew, but in case you change your mind, you can cancel at any time. They also offer worldwide express delivery.
I love finding delicious snacks which are not available in my local asian supermarkets, or even some similar ones to what I've had while being in Japan. I like subscription boxes in general, and I love ones that genuinely make me excited to receive them every month.
So far, the chocolate orange kitkats have been as delicious as I remembered them, the cotton candy was way better than I expected, and the soy sauce corn puffs reminded me so much about being there that I started looking at booking a flight to Japan soon.
If you've never tried Japanese snacks, this is a great way to discover them, and if you're like me, highly in love with Japan and its amazing food, then you will most certainly love this type of box being delivered to you monthly.
